In the case of licenses that are close to expiration (4 months) or expired for no more than 5 years, the Consulate can issue a validation certificate, which is only used to keep the license alive until the holder travels to Italy to apply for a new one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The service is reserved for <strong>AIRE members<\/strong> and<strong> those who can prove their residence in India for at least 12 months.<\/strong><br \/>\nPursuant to Law 470\/1988, if a citizen has moved his or her permanent residence to our jurisdiction, he or she is obliged to comply with the AIRE registration.
