Checklist_dov_mumbai for study purposes 2025 2026 In<\/a>dian students interested in pursuing their Higher studies in Italy will have to follow the below mentioned mandatory steps:<\/p>\n

1<\/strong>. Apply for admission on the selected Higher Education Institution website within the deadline<\/span> set by the same.
\nPlease note that each Institution has different requirements, deadlines and fees.<\/p>\n

2<\/strong>. Once admitted to the selected course, apply online for Pre-Enrollment on the UNIVERSITALY portal<\/a>.
\nPre-Enrolment for academic year 2025\/2026 is now open!<\/span><\/p>\n

3<\/strong>. Once pre-enrolled, apply for a D-VISA, in case the duration of your course exceeds 90 days, OR apply for a C-VISA in case the duration of your course is less than 90 days.<\/p>\n

With effect from 15th<\/sup> April 2024 and only on prior appointment, all students wishing to pursue their higher studies in Italy and residing in the states under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in Mumbai (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli) can submit their visa application at one of the two VFS centers: Mumbai (Mahalaxmi) and Cochin.
\nPlease be informed that all students will be required to attend a mandatory video interview upon submitting their visa application.<\/p>\n

In order to avoid any delays in the issuance of the visa, applicants are strongly recommended to submit the complete documentation required by the official study visa checklist, available here:: checklist_studio__2025_2026 FINAL<\/a><\/p>\n

All students are hereby informed that, according to the Italian law in force, the processing time of long-term visa applications (D type) can take up to 90 days from the day they are received by this Consulate General. Please note that in case the Consulate General requires the student to submit additional documents (through the so called \u201cadvance notice for refusal\u201d<\/em>), the overall processing time is likely to exceed 90 days.<\/p>\n
