With approximately <strong>600,000 visitors<\/strong> recorded over its <strong>100-day programme<\/strong>, the initiative further consolidated its role as a key reference point for the global art scene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within the framework of consular missions across the States under the <strong>jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in Mumbai, Consul General Walter Ferrara<\/strong> paid an institutional visit to Kerala, taking part in a series of meetings with leading figures from the local cultural sector. In particular, the Consul General met with the Biennale\u2019s <strong>Chief Executive Officer<\/strong> and the <strong>main curator<\/strong>, exploring prospects for collaboration and opportunities to further strengthen <strong>Italy\u2019s presence<\/strong> in future editions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the visit, the Consul General also toured several exhibition venues in Fort Kochi, engaging directly with <strong>artists, curators, and cultural stakeholders<\/strong>. Among these, he visited exhibitions curated by Italian artists, including that of <strong>architect Simone Vago<\/strong> at the prestigious <strong>Pepper House<\/strong>, a cultural centre directed by <strong>Isaac Alexander<\/strong> and one of the most dynamic hubs of the local artistic scene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Established in 2010<\/strong> as a <strong>non-profit organisation<\/strong>, the <strong>Kochi Biennale Foundation<\/strong> plays a key role in <strong>promoting contemporary art, culture, and heritage in India<\/strong>. In addition to organising the Biennale, it is actively engaged in the restoration and enhancement of historic sites, as well as in supporting traditional artistic expressions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participation in the Biennale and the institutional meetings held during the visit reaffirmed Italy\u2019s commitment to <strong>fostering cultural dialogue<\/strong> and <strong>strengthening ties<\/strong> with the vibrant artistic community of Kerala.
