1/11/2013 CEREMONY FOR THE MEMORIAL OF THE ITALIAN WAR PRISONERS WHO DIED IN INDIA

On November 1st, 2013 a ceremony took place at the Mausoleum in Sewri Cemetery, Mumbai to commemorate the  Military  Italian soldiers who died during the war.


The Consul General Mr. Ugo Ciarlatani, Fr. Davide Castagnetti , a number of Italian religious sisters and a few Italian nationals participated.


The ceremony remembers the Italian Prisoners at War who died in India during the World War II, whose remains were laid to rest  at this Cemetery.
On this occasion two wreathes have been placed  on the Memorial – one  by the Consul General and another one on behalf of Admiral Franco Favre, Defence Attache` at the Embassy of Italy, New Delhi.
