The Consulate General of Italy in Mumbai has launched the IX Edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World with an exclusive masterclass titled “A Taste of Italy: A Journey Between Tradition and Modernity,” led by renowned chef, author, and food critic Rita Monastero.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian National Tourism Board (ENIT), was hosted at Magazine St. Kitchen, a culinary space celebrated for its focus on innovation and quality.
This Year’s Theme: The Mediterranean Diet and Healthy Italian Culinary Traditions
The 2024 Week of Italian Cuisine in the World focuses on promoting the Mediterranean Diet, recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and the wholesome culinary traditions of Italy, blending taste, culture, and health.
The Italian Corner: A Journey Through the Flavors of Italy
Adding to the experience, the Italian Trade Agency in New Delhi, in collaboration with Food Square Bandra, unveiled the Italian Corner, an exhibition of Italian gastronomic excellence. Visitors can discover the finest Italian products, from Amalfi lemons to black truffle, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cheeses, cured meats, and more.
This initiative is a significant opportunity to celebrate the excellence of Italian cuisine and its cultural impact, bringing local audiences closer to the tradition and innovation of Italian gastronomy.
