IMPORTANT NOTICE
Possession of a Schengen visa does not automatically confer the right to enter the Schengen area. Upon entry into the Schengen territory, the visa holder must present their passport with a valid visa and, if requested by the border police authorities, a copy of the documentation relating to the purpose of their stay in the Schengen area.
Such documentation may include:
- documentation relating to the purpose and conditions of the intended stay (return flight ticket, hotel reservation, letters of invitation, etc.);
- financial means (cash, traveller’s cheques, international credit cards, etc.)
Failure to submit the required documentation may authorise border police authorities to deny entry into Schengen territory and may result in an administrative expulsion order by a border authority of a Member State.
